I went to the Victoria and Albert Museum yesterday with Midsomer Quilting and had a wonderful day. The Quilt exhibition was really interesting, with some amazing quilts on show, it really was a lovely day and I could spend my life there, the building is just incredible.

Sunshine after the rain..

Today......reflections in the rain.

It always amazes me just how beautiful everything looks after the rain........the raindrops shining like diamonds....glistening in the sun.

I work at the local primary school as a teaching assistant and every now and again we have a book club chap who brings a selection of books for purchase. My magpie eyes were immediately drawn to this book. The colours work so well and the pictures are so temptingly mouthwatering!

Some of the recipes in this book are just so traditionally comforting, although I don't think that I ever remember my Dear Grandma making vegetable korma......... it's a nice book though and only £4...what a great bargain!

This chicken looks sooo yummy!!

Perfect for a day like today!

Anniversary

On Saturday the 6th June, it was our 24th wedding anniversary........wow how the time flies by. We decided to go out for the day.

After watching the D day remembrance service and shedding quite a few tears , we headed off to Sturminster Newton Dorset. There is a fabric shop there called Hansons which I hadn't been to before.......wow what a place they sell everything.....fabric, wool, sewing machines.......everything!

Mark kindly waited in the car and had a little snooze.....I was quite a while!

The drive was amazing, beautiful countryside everywhere and not far from Shaftsbury. Jane from Posy has often commented that it's a favourite place of hers and the view from Gold Hill is stunning. It was just time for lunch by the time we got there and a table for two with a view awaited us. We had the most wonderful lunch with chocolate cake and tea to follow and sat and watched the many people going down and coming up that hill!

More seemed to be going down than up.

I was lucky to get this photo with no one around...... the wind had got up.....the sun was behind the clouds and the air was quite chilly.

Shaftsbury is quite a quaint little place...very nice post office and a lovely florist shop.

This was one of my anniversary gifts not the real McCoy but fits in very well with my TG Green collection.

Another of my gifts.......a print from Syko.....I have wanted this picture for such a long time....I love it!

We had a lovely day....cant wait for the biggy next year!

Snapdragon photo shoot

Just got back from photo shooting!!!..... thirsty work...... needed.....I say needed!!! a cup of tea!
I have just sat down, to get the photo sent to Jane......but mmmm how to decide which one to send?

These young ladies looked at me as if I was mad
1. For disturbing their peace....as I did do chatting to them
2. What on earth was I doing with a wooly cardi on a day like this..... and
3. I had to keep moving and re-arranging the cardi for the best shot........by a field in the middle of nowhere....on my own....I think I am mad.

Just here in the distance to the left are some Canadian geese that had just landed beautiful sight!

Blurry shot but Glastonbury Tor is in the distance..

Just look at them..........georgeous!

Ive ended up sending five... hope that they're ok.
